F.I.T. camp and the benefits of program evaluation

Juvenile delinquency rates have decreased in recent years, however, the rates still represent a public concern because the rates are still high. Explanations of juvenile delinquency are discussed. An explanation attributed to juvenile delinquency is due to living in disadvantaged neighborhoods with limited resources that impedes youth to have a positive youth development. Not having a successful youth development places the youth at a higher risk of to be involved in delinquency. It is crucial to develop more nonprofit afterschool programs, such as F.I.T. Camp, to be able to provide services that will help youth have a positive youth development. Program evaluation is important for nonprofit organizations to be able to provide accountability that their services are being effective in order to be able to continue to provide services. The program evaluation process is outline to help F.I.T. Camp demonstrate accountability and effectiveness of their services
