Understanding the relationship between acculturation, health practices, psychological distress, and health care utilization among Hispanic adults

The United States has encounter rapid growth among diverse ethnicities/cultures and adult population in a few decades. The United States Census Bureau (2010) reported that between 2000-2010, the population among the Hispanic group in the United States has emerged, major among their demographics, projecting the Hispanic group to be larger than the 2010 by 2050. The study examines the relationship between acculturation, health practices, psychological distress, and health care utilization among Hispanic adults. Data was retrieved from the California Health Interview Survey 2011, Adult Survey, which is gathered on a yearly basis associating with the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, the California Department of Public Health, and the Public Health Institute. The findings on the relationship between acculturation, health practices, psychological distress, and health care utilization among Hispanic adults in the United States were found to be moderately significant.
