My Thesis analysis seeks to highlight some of the factors that influence acculturation as a predictor of physical and mental health to psychological distress among Latino older adults ages 55-85. This research was a quantitative study utilizing secondary data from the California Health Interview Survey CHIS 2011-2012 adult questioner. The findings were obtained through using Bivariate and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between self-rated and mental health to psychological distress.
