Changes and torn spaces

Includes bibliographical references (page 8)Introduction\ud The work presented here is a visual expression of my observation of forms being penetrated and transformed. The process of transformation is dialectical. Antagonistic, polar elements produce synthesis. This constitutes the inspiration from which the content and form of my work has been derived.\ud Purpose\ud The evocation of an aesthetic emotion in the viewer is what distinguishes a work of art. My aim here is to produce a group of ???aesthetic objects??? that fulfill this criterion. They are pieces whose sensuality, expressed in the formal qualities of color, texture, balance and rhythmn, are designed to alter a viewer's perception and stir his/her imagination.\ud Subject Matter - Content\ud The idea for the content of the work flowed out of a consciousness of my body in relation to the air around it. I observe my body as a moving penetration of space. My imagination projects mental images that deal with the awareness of my body's physical boundaries pressing against the atmosphere around it.
