I began this project in 2007 as a photo-essay aimed at documenting changes to the barrio`s urban landscape. After spending six years documenting the barrio and listening to the stories being told, I learned that the people of Barrio Logan live in a battle zone where longtime residents and new-gente alike want to root down in a community where their lived experience and history are embedded into the landscape.
