Human development through cultural heritage: the case of Companhia de Artes sem Fronteiras of the city of Itaqui, RS, Brazil

Social and cultural issues tend to be important in the development of a society. The municipality has been approached as a matter of protection of the cultural heritage of the West Frontier of Rio Grande do Sul, through a municipality of a case study of a non-profit social entity, which is maintained in a partnership between the private sector and the Public sector. The inquiries that guided a research as actions of a social project can impact a local society, contribute to the development of the human being and preserve the culture. Aimed to analyze how cultural heritage can contribute to human development through the social case project Cia de Artes Sem Fronteiras, from the city of Itaqui - RS, it was also sought to look for the border presence. For this work, we sought the theoretical reference on sustainability, society and cultural heritage, social projects and a way of thinking and acting in this way, since, inserted in a border environment, it acquires national and international customs. Quantitative and qualitative research was conducted with students, teachers and parents, and it was discovered that the benefits were generated. How did the students graduate in São Paulo, where the best students are present, as well as improve themselves, the development of the emphasis, the teamwork, know how to serve and the feeling of belonging. Both parents and the community can help to understand and value their own assets.As questões sociais e culturais têm adquirido importância no que tange ao desenvolvimento de uma sociedade. O presente estudo abordou as questões relacionadas à preservação do patrimônio cultural da Fronteira Oeste do Rio Grande do Sul, no município de Itaqui, por meio de um estudo de caso de uma entidade social sem fins lucrativos, que é mantida em parceria entre setor privado e setor público. As indagações que nortearam a pesquisa foram sobre como as ações de um projeto social podem impactar uma sociedade local, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento do ser humano e preservando a cultura. Teve como objetivo geral analisar como o patrimônio cultural pode contribuir com o desenvolvimento humano, por meio do estudo de caso do projeto social Cia de Artes Sem Fronteiras, do município de Itaqui - RS, verificando os benefícios que o projeto social gera na formação de um cidadão. Buscou-se, também, verificar se havia preservação da cultura fronteiriça. Para este trabalho, buscou-se referencial teórico sobre a sustentabilidade e sociedade, patrimônio e preservação cultural, projetos sociais e a forma de pensar e agir desta sociedade, que, uma vez inserida em um ambiente de fronteira, adquire costumes nacionais e internacionais. Trata-se de uma pesquisa quantitativa e qualitativa com os alunos, professores e pais, a fim de verificar e comprovar os benefícios gerados por tal projeto. Como resultados, constatou-se uma grande mudança na questão da responsabilidade dos alunos, bem como melhor aceitação de si mesmos, o desenvolvimento da empatia, o trabalho em equipe, o saber servir e o sentimento de pertencimento.
