Resistência à corrosão de aços austeníticos utilizados em meio a glicerina ácida em uma planta de produção de biodiesel

Para tal utilizou-se o teste de potencial de circuito aberto (OCP), a técnica de espectroscopia de impedância eletroquímica (EIS) e o teste de polarização potenciodinâmica. A partir das medidas de OCP observou-se que o Ecorr do aço AISI 904L foi o de maior valor, sendo este o aço que possui menor propensão de sofrer corrosão no meio de glicerina ácida. De acordo com os valores da resistência à polarização (Rp) obtidos, verifica-se que os aços inoxidáveis AISI 317L e AISI 904L apresentam uma resistência à polarização uma ordem de grandeza maior que os demais, sendo estes os mais resistentes à corrosão em meio de glicerina ácida. Somente em meio de glicerina B foi possível visualizar o potencial de pite, possuindo maior valor para os aços AISI 317L e AISI 904L. Considerando a viabilidade técnica e econômica, o aço AISI 317L é o mais indicado para o uso a serviço, já que o mesmo se apresenta resistente à corrosão no meio de glicerina ácida e possui menor custo quando comparado ao aço AISI 904L.This study evaluated the interactions between the stainless steel AISI 304L, AISI 316L, AISI 317L and AISI 904L and glycerin A (load 11,000 kg / h) and glycerin B (load 6500 kg / h), seeking to learn the material more suitable to be applied in biodiesel production plant of Petrobras. For this, the open circuit potential (OCP) test, the technique of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and potentiodynamic polarization test are used. From tests of OCP, noted that Ecorr the steel 904L stands out from the rest, this being the steel that has a lower propensity to corrode in middle of glycerin acidic. According to the values of the polarization resistance (Rp) obtained, it appears that stainless steels AISI 317L and AISI 904L have a polarization resistance in an order of magnitude greater than the other, these being the most resistant to corrosion in middle acidic. Only in middle of glycerin B was able to see the pitting potential, possessing greater value for steels AISI 317L and AISI 904L. Considering the technical and economic feasibility, steel AISI 317L is the most appropriate for use in the service, since it presents corrosion resistance in middle acidic and has a lower cost when compared to steel AISI 904L
