Project (M.A.)--Humboldt State University, English, 2014This project examines the factors involved in utilizing the evidence- based intervention practice of video modeling with young children with autism. To better understand the technique, a pilot implementation of video modeling was included in the process of completing the project. The challenge in video modeling is in understanding all of the steps and individualization needed to use it as an effective intervention. In this project there is an overview of various forms of video modeling, play skills to target in an educational setting, tools for creating videos and strategies for implementing the intervention in a school setting.
