Of particular interest is chemical detoxification via glutathione (GSH)\ud and attendant GSH-requiring detoxification enzymes, e.g. GSH peroxidases (GPX) and\ud GSH S-transferase (GST). These enzymes have been shown to decline in concentration\ud with advancing age.
