No. of bitstreams: 1 1000000154.pdf: 29471740 bytes, checksum: 9fad7535cdabf629acaacfc6d77e9d17 (MD5) Previous issue date: 22Esta dissertação tem com o objetivo de estudo a relação de crianças das camadas populares, residentes em um bairro da periferia de Belo Horizonte, com a escrita, nos momentos imediatamente anterior e imediatamente posterior ao seu ingresso na 1ª série.Trata-se de um estudo de caso no qual foram entrevistadas várias crianças, pais, professores e especialistas, e observadas, durante três meses, as atividades desenvolvidas na escola pública que atende às crianças entrevistadas. Na primeira parte, descrevem-se o, lugar onde moram essas crianças e as suas relações familiares. Caracteriza-se também a relação que as crianças mantêm com a escrita antes de ingressarem na escola e que é intermediada pelo seu grupo familiar e social. Constatou-se que a escrita é um objeto significativo para o grupo observado e que, nesse momento, a relação das crianças com a escrita assume contornos de preparação para a alfabetização escolar. Na segunda parte, caracteriza-se a relação das crianças com a escrita, quando essa relação passa a ser também intermediada pela escola.Apresenta-se uma descrição do contexto escolar onde a criança ingressa: as condições de trabalho dos professores e especialistas; a visão que têm da clientela que atendem; a proposta de trabalho que adotam.Analisam-se alguns momentos que, ao demarcarem a entrada da criança na escola, podem ser considerados "ritos de passagem". E , ainda, descrevem-se as oportunidades criadas pela escola para que as crianças interajam com a escrita. Constatou-se a pouca presença da escrita na escola, apesar de se tratar do momento inicial da alfabetização. Na conclusão, são explicitados os eixos teóricos que nortearam a pesquisa e a análise dos dados. Apontam-se três eixos:do papel da escola na sociedade capitalista: da caracterização da clientela escolar; do processo de alfabetizaçãoThe dissertation has as object of study the relation of children belonging to the working class and who live in the suburbs of Belo Horizonte, with the writing. It focuses the period which immediately precedes their entering the first grade and the period which inmediately follows it. It is a case study in wich several children, parents, teacherrs and supervisors were interviewed. The activities developed at the public school which the interviewed children attend were observed for 3 months. In the first part, a description of the place where these children live and their relation with their family members was given.There's also a description of the relation that these children keep with theee writing before they go to school and which is mediated by their family and social group.What was noticed is that the writing is a significative object to the group observed and that, at the moment mentioned aboce the relation of the children with the writing becomes somewhat like the preparation to literacy which is given at school. In the second part, the ralation of the children with the writing is seen when it also starts being mediated by the school. A description of the school context to which the children then belong is given: the working conditions of teacheres and supervisors, their judgmentes and opinions of the children who attend the school and their working projects. Some moments which mark the entrance of the child in school and their working projects. The opportunities created by the school aiming the interaction of the children with the writing are also described. It was noticed that writing is hardly present at school, although the first steps to literacy are being taken.
