Para tanto, torna-se imprescindível uma caracterização do cinema de Harun Farocki e sua estilística; seguida de um esforço teórico que visa a compreensão dos conceitos de acontecimento e de imagem de arquivo. Nesse ínterim, não se pode negligenciar os aportes de Maurice Mouillaud e de Louis Quéré a respeito da noção de acontecimento, na medida em que oferecem significativa contribuição no sentido de se discutir as transmissões e as imagens produzidas. Para elucidar o conceito de imagem de arquivo, o pensamento de Georges Didi-Huberman é o foco central. A partir daí, torna-se possível analisar três operações fílmicas especificas: enquadramento, fora de campo e montagem. Dentre elas, a montagem é feita operação central, por revelar o minucioso trabalho de Farocki, envolvido na escritura do filme e reescritura das imagens.This essay seeks the answer the question: how does the writing of the film Videograms of a revolution rewrites the images (also like the sounds, words, speeches) triggered by the outbreak and conduct of the political event that led to the downfall of Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu? For this, it is essential to characterize the cinema of Harun Farocki and his stylistic, followed by a theoretical effort aimed at understanding the concepts of happening and image as a document. Meanwhile, we can not overlook the inputs of Maurice Mouillaud and Louis Quéré about the notion of happening, as they offer significant contribution in order to discuss the broadcasts and images produced. To elucidate the concept of images as documents, the thought of Georges Didi-Huberman is the central focus. From there on, it becomes possible to analyze three specific filmic operations: framing, off screen and montage. Among them, the montage operation is central, because it reveals the elaborate work of Farocki, involved in writing and rewriting the film images
