A sala de aula de estágio curricular supervisionado: um estudo no contexto da formação inicial de professores de língua inglesa

Por meio da abordagem teórico-metodológica da pesquisa de base etnográfica em sala de aula busquei compreender como se constituiu o espaço estudado, considerando as relações entre seus participantes. Assim, observei uma turma de Estágio Supervisionado I durante o segundo semestre do ano de 2017. Identifiquei, descrevi e analisei eventos e processos interacionais que produziram padrões de interação entre professora e alunos. Tais padrões compuseram os quadros de referência (frames of reference) (GREEN; DIXON, 1994) por meio dos quais os sujeitos participantes criaram repertórios de comportamento e interação. A análise dos padrões observados mostrou que a sala de aula da disciplina Estágio Supervisionado I foi um espaço de encontro entre sujeitos com desejos e modos de interpretar a realidade diferentes e, por isso, foi também lugar de desencontros. As experiências, os tempos e os desejos da professora e dos alunos, muitas vezes, não eram convergentes. Tais divergências foram fontes de conflito e, por esse motivo, a compreensão desse espaço levou em conta os perceptual mismatches (KUMARAVADIVELU, 2003) ou desencontro de percepções entre os membros daquele grupo. Com base nisso, identifiquei três desencontros como elementos estruturantes da análise: desencontros de experiências, de tempos e de desejos. As reflexões sobre os desencontros indicam que as relações construídas dentro daquele ambiente e os eventos que ali ocorreram foram influenciados por fatores e atores internos (intertextuais) e externos (intercontextuais) à sala de aula(GREEN; CASTANHEIRA, 2012). Além disso, o adoecimento docente e a resistência dos alunos também foram elementos importantes para se compreender a produção coletiva daquela sala de aula. Os desencontros, o adoecimento docente e as resistências foram os padrões característicos da turma estudada e se revelaram fatores limitadores das oportunidades de aprendizagem dos alunos na disciplina.The present work had the objective to carry out a study in an English Teaching Practicum I classroom of a Language Teaching Program in a Southeast Brazilian university. Through the theoretical-methodological approach of ethnography in the classroom, I sought to understand how this particular space was constructed through the relationships developed among its participants. Thus, I observed an English Teaching Supervised Practicum I classroom during the second semester of 2017. I identified, described and analyzed events and interactional processes that produced patterns of interaction between the teacher and her students. These patterns constituted the frames of reference through which the subjects created repertoires of behavior and interaction(GREEN; DIXON, 1994). The analysis of the observed patterns showed that the Supervised Practicum I classroom was a place where people with different desires and ways of interpreting reality met and, therefore, it was also place of disagreements. Teachers and students experiences, times, and desires were often not convergent. Such divergences were sources of conflict and, for that reason, the understanding of this space considered the "perceptual mismatches" (KUMARAVADIVELU, 2003) among the members of that group. Based on this, I proposed three types of mismatches as structuring elements for the analysis: mismatches of experiences, of times and of desires. The reflections on the disagreements indicate that the relations built within that environment and the events that occurred were influenced by internal (intertextual) and external (intercontextual) factors and actors in the classroom(GREEN; CASTANHEIRA, 2012). In addition, the teacher condition and student resistance were also important elements to understand the collective production of that classroom.
