This Creative Writing thesis project is a bilingual, literary and artistic exploration of Gloria Anzald??a's academic theory of Borderland as posited in her book, Borderlands / La Frontera: The New Mestiza. Written in Spanish and English and using lyric poetry to accomplish the aim of narrative poetry, the language of the manuscript combines elements of bilingualism, surrealist poetry, Language poetry, performance poetry and creative typography as a means of deliberately emphasizing the theme of immigration and movement across borders.
