It analyzes the situation in which the city was before the WWI, as well as the manifestation of this external event in the Amazon. Investigate the relationship of the First World War with the local labor movement and its reactions. In addition, it verifies the living and working conditions of the various social agents present in the city of Manaus, as well as the forms of resistance, the uncertainties of life, and how these systems of relations were given in subjects’ daily lives, both in the public space and in private ones. We sought to map and discuss the various forms of resistance on the part of the workers and the local population, bringing out as a highlight the associations that were formed in the period. The May Day issue as a claim date, as well as the strikes that occurred during the period 1914-1918 were also ascertained.Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo estudar os movimentos reivindicatórios e de resistências dos trabalhadores da cidade de Manaus durante o período de 1914 a 1918, dentro da conjuntara da Primeira Guerra. Analisa a situação em que a cidade se encontrava anteriormente à Primeira Guerra, assim como a manifestação deste evento externo no Amazonas. Investiga a relação da Primeira Guerra Mundial com o movimento operário local e suas reações. Além disso, verifica as condições de vida e trabalho dos diversos agentes sociais presentes na cidade de Manaus, assim como as formas de resistência, as incertezas da vida, e como se davam esses sistemas de relações no cotidiano dos sujeitos, tanto no espaço público e de trabalho quanto no espaço privado. Buscou-se mapear e discutir as diversas formas de resistência por parte dos trabalhadores e da população local, trazendo como destaque as associações que se formaram no período. A questão do Primeiro de Maio como uma data reivindicatória, bem como as greves que ocorreram durante o período 1914-1918 também foram averiguadas
