The frequency of less than three years in nurseries has been important risk factor for this morbidity due to increased exposure to infectious agents by confinement and by agglomeration. Therefore, it is necessary for nurses to conduct health education to professional staff providing daily care to children in kindergartens, using educational technologies as mediators of the educational process. The objective was to construct and validate an educational booklet with early childhood educators in daycare on the prevention / care for upper airway infections in childhood. We conducted research validation of educational technology with methodological development, focusing on the development and validation of instruments, and emphasis on qualitative and quantitative approach. To develop this study, we chose to follow three phases: the first was the construction of the educational booklet by conducting an integrative review, from search in LILACS, SciELO and PubMed, where we selected 11 studies that guided the definition of the contents to compose the playbook and subsequently proceeded to the layout of the first version. The second phase occurred in the validation process of the content of the booklet by expert judges and preparing the second version. The third phase occurred with the validation process of appearance, step it fit the target audience. With regard to the quantitative analysis, the material was shown to be validated in terms of layout and content, as a level showed excellent agreement between judges experts (90.91%) and represented by the audience (99 , 15%). In the qualitative analysis, we adopted the thematic analysis, which allowed the compilation of the suggestions made by the experts in three thematic categories: legibility of text; adjustments in the layout; and general assessment. It is believed that this study met the objectives regarding the purpose of identifying relevant content to build a primer for educators of kindergarten children with the proposed theme and present it in a clear and simple way to understand the target audience, as educational technology was considered statistically valid, by committees participants of the validation process.As infecções das vias aéreas superiores acometem as estruturas do aparelho respiratório acima da laringe, podendo variar de sintomas corriqueiros a uma doença grave e fatal. A frequência de menores de três anos em creches tem sido importante fator de risco para esta morbidade, devido à maior exposição aos agentes infecciosos pelo confinamento e pela aglomeração. Portanto, faz-se necessário que o enfermeiro realize educação em saúde à equipe de profissionais que presta o atendimento diário às crianças em creches, utilizando-se de tecnologias educacionais como mediadoras do processo educativo. Objetivou-se construir e validar uma cartilha educativa com educadores infantis de creche, sobre prevenção/cuidados em infecções das vias aéreas superiores na infância. Realizou-se pesquisa de validação de tecnologia educacional com desenvolvimento metodológico, com enfoque na elaboração e validação de instrumentos, e ênfase na abordagem quali-quantitativa. Para o desenvolvimento deste estudo, optou-se por seguir três fases: na primeira, ocorreu a construção da cartilha educativa mediante realização de uma revisão integrativa, a partir de buscas nas bases de dados LILACS, Scielo e PubMed, em que selecionaram-se 11 estudos, os quais direcionaram a definição dos conteúdos para compor a cartilha e, subsequentemente, procedeu-se à diagramação da primeira versão. A segunda fase ocorreu com o processo de validação do conteúdo da cartilha pelos juízes especialistas e elaboração da segunda versão. A terceira fase sucedeu-se com o processo de validação de aparência, etapa que coube ao público-alvo. No que se refere à análise quantitativa, o material mostrou-se validado do ponto de vista de conteúdo e aparência, visto que apresentou um nível de concordância excelente entre os juízes especialistas (90,91%) e as representantes do público-alvo (99,15%). Na análise qualitativa, adotou-se a análise temática, a qual permitiu a compilação das sugestões feitas pelos peritos em três categorias temáticas: legibilidade dos textos; ajustes na diagramação; e avaliação geral. Acredita-se, que este estudo atingiu os objetivos quanto ao propósito de identificar os conteúdos relevantes para a construção de uma cartilha para educadoras infantis de creche com a temática proposta e apresentá-la de forma clara e simples para compreensão do público-alvo, pois a tecnologia educativa foi considerada estatisticamente válida, pelos comitês participantes do processo de validação
