Includes bibliographical references (pages 34-37)A first law thermodynamic analysis of a two-stage absorption refrigeration cycle using sodium thiocyanate and ammonia is presented. It includes descriptions of the simplified relationships developed for the thermodynamic data and outlines the logic of a computer program developed for the analysis. It is concluded that the cycle coefficient of performance is competitive with the lithium bromide - water system which is presently commercially available
