Considering the cultural globalization process promoted by the transnational circulation of printed works, this article analyses female writers of English language texts that were part the Grêmio Literário Português do Pará collections, a circulating library founded in the capital of the then Pará province in 1867. Regarding this parcel of the collection, containing twenty-three works by female authors from the European and American continents, it is interesting to discuss: who were these writers, what genres they published, and the editorial strategies used to guarantee that their works were made available to the public.
