It is a descriptive and exploratory study with a qualitative approach. Data was collected at a Basic Health Unit in the city of Pindamonhangaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil through semi-structured interviews conducted by a healthcare professional concerning mothers of children aged 0 to 12 months old who are being attended in childcare consultations.
