Current methods of education for child rearing are elaborated and the need for programs to aid young parents is discussed. The use of group discussion as a technique is elaborated and a program for ten mothers and their toddlers is described. Phenomena found to be unique to a group of mothers and toddlers are: the issue of separation, style of participation, the nature and development of the leader.
