Sistema especialista em termodinâmica: análise da construção de significados mediada por interfaces virtuais

For this, we work with a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) focused on a SE in Thermodynamics. An ES is a type of Computational Intelligence, which can be viewed as an artificial intelligence and is able to present findings on a particular topic, if properly oriented (PY, 2002, p.3). Thermodynamics chose because we observed in our practice that students confuse basic concepts of this content. The SE can be used for other subjects as well as in various contents. The theoretical research is the Meaningful Learning of David Ausubel, conveyed through the SE as a tool for teaching and learning. To choose the search field, a group of physics teachers, students of the Professional Masters in Science Teaching, State University of Paraíba - UEPB to verify the effectiveness of this teaching resource in their teaching. As our group discussed the ideas and suggestions proposed by the group of students and this contributed to this work, this research now has the character of Case Study of Participant Observation. It was evident in the results of our interviews that SE is effective in the process of teaching and learning, which confirms the objective of this work. It also assists the teacher, as it offers an innovation in how we evaluate, because the system shows the difficulties and achievements of students, thus creating a visual report of the results. Thus, we conclude that this material contributes to the educational process, since it is potentially significant because motivates students to learn physics, particularly thermodynamics.A presente dissertação teve como foco investigar as contribuições que um Sistema Especialista (SE) em Termodinâmica, conteúdo do 2º ano do ensino médio, pode dar no processo de ensino e aprendizagem, fazendo uma análise da construção de significados com novas interfaces virtuais, tendo como produto final um material didático dinâmico e atraente para aluno e professor, capaz de estimular o estudo da Física e auxiliar a docência. Para isso, trabalhamos com um Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem (AVA) focado num SE em Termodinâmica. Um SE é um tipo de Inteligência Computacional, que pode ser visto como uma inteligência artificial e é capaz de apresentar conclusões sobre um determinado tema, desde que devidamente orientado (PY,2002, p.3). Escolhemos a Termodinâmica porque observamos em nossa prática que os alunos confundem conceitos básicos deste conteúdo. Este SE pode ser utilizado para outras disciplinas como também em diversos conteúdos. A fundamentação teórica da pesquisa é a Aprendizagem Significativa de David Ausubel, veiculada como ferramenta através do SE para o ensino e aprendizagem. Para campo de pesquisa escolhemos um grupo de professores de Física, alunos do Mestrado Profissional em Ensino de Ciências, da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba - UEPB, para verificação da eficácia de tal recurso didático em sua prática pedagógica. Como nosso grupo analisou as idéias e sugestões propostas pela turma de alunos e isto contribuiu para este trabalho, esta pesquisa passou a ter caráter de Estudo de Caso com Observação Participante. Foi evidente nos resultados das entrevistas que nosso SE é eficaz no processo de ensinar e aprender, o que confirma o objetivo deste trabalho. Ele também auxilia o professor, uma vez que proporciona uma inovação na forma de avaliar, pois o sistema mostra as dificuldades e avanços dos alunos, gerando assim um relatório visual dos resultados. Sendo assim, concluímos que este material contribui no processo educativo, uma vez que é potencialmente significativo, pois motiva o aluno a aprender Física, em particular a Termodinâmica
