The integration between socio-cultural practices and pedagogical practices: the organization of teaching in the final years of elementary school

Statistical information in Brazil has often revealed negative results of the students of Basic Education in the schooling process. On the other hand, research indicates an unequivocal link between the situation of school failure expressed by repetition, avoidance and exclusion and the social and cultural origin of the students. Among several factors that explain this situation is the use of pedagogical methodologies decontextualized from the reality of the students, especially the poorest, as shown by authors such as: Patto (2015); Hedegaard (2005); Smolka, (2000); Libâneo (2012). Add to this the adherence of official educational systems to a standardized teaching model with the aim of merely achieving results (LIBÂNEO; FREITAS, 2018), disregarding the individual, social and cultural particularities of students. Bibliographic research and field research were used as procedures. The bibliographical research consisted of the survey and study of theoretical references already produced on the subject. Field research was carried out in a full-time public school located in Goiânia - GO, in a class of the 6th year of Middle School, in the Science discipline, where observations were made of the school and the classroom, as well as a semi-structured interview with the teacher. The analysis of the data had as main theoretical reference the theories of L. Vygotsky, V. Davidov and M. Hedegaard and studies in didactics of Brazilian researchers. The results indicate that the organization of teaching in the situations observed was not articulated intentionally and explicitly with the sociocultural practices of the students and, when this articulation existed, occurred in a sporadic and casual way. Thus, the experiences lived by the students in their social and material conditions, although perceived by the teacher, are not intentionally contemplated in the pedagogical mediation practices aimed at actions that enhance learning aiming at the full development of the students.Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo estudar aspectos da organização do ensino no que se refere às interfaces entre práticas pedagógicas e práticas socioculturais, de modo a apreender formas pelas quais os professores estabelecem ligações entre os conteúdos e as condições sociais, culturais e materiais dos alunos. As informações estatísticas no Brasil têm revelado, com frequência, resultados negativos dos alunos da Educação Básica no processo de escolarização. Por outro lado, pesquisas apontam inequívoca ligação entre a situação de fracasso escolar expressa pela repetência, evasão e exclusão e a origem social e cultural dos alunos. Entre vários fatores que explicam essa situação, está a utilização de metodologias pedagógicas descontextualizadas da realidade dos alunos, especialmente dos mais pobres, como mostram autores como: Patto (2015); Hedegaard (2005); Smolka (2000); Libâneo (2012). Agrega-se a isso, a adesão dos sistemas de ensino oficiais a um modelo de ensino padronizado visando meramente à obtenção de resultados (LIBÂNEO; FREITAS, 2018), desconsiderando as particularidades individuais, sociais e culturais dos alunos. Foram utilizados como procedimentos a pesquisa bibliográfica e a pesquisa de campo. A pesquisa bibliográfica consistiu no levantamento e estudo de referências teóricas já produzidas sobre o tema. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada em uma escola pública de tempo integral localizada em Goiânia - GO, em uma turma do 6º ano do Ensino Fundamental, na disciplina de Ciências, onde foram feitas observações da escola e da sala de aula, além de entrevista semiestruturada com a professora. A análise dos dados teve como referência teórica principal as teorias de L. Vygotsky, V. Davídov, S.Chaiklin e M. Hedegaard e estudos em Didática de pesquisadores brasileiros. Os resultados obtidos indicam que a organização do ensino nas situações observadas não se apresentou articulada, de forma intencional e explícita, com as práticas socioculturais dos alunos e, quando existente essa articulação, ocorreu de forma esporádica e casual. Desse modo, as experiências vivenciadas pelos alunos em suas condições sociais e materiais, embora percebidas pela professora, não são intencionalmente incorporadas nas práticas de mediação pedagógica voltadas para ações potencializadoras da aprendizagem visando o desenvolvimento pleno dos aluno
