Daí a importância das pesquisas em mecanismos que resultem em um equilíbrio sustentável entre aspectos financeiros, sociais e ambientais. Dentro deste contexto os modelos de otimização podem vir proporcionar uma melhor solução para os processos que ocorrem neste determinado setor produtivo. Buscou-se comparar a agricultura convencional e a orgânica, tendo como base de comparação benefícios econômicos (receita líquida). As comparações foram realizadas sob a injunção de diversos cenários hidro-climáticos, econômicos e culturais (práticas de plantio), tendo como ferramenta matemática e computacional o CISDERGO. A aplicação do modelo foi na área agrícola do município de Boqueirão estado da Paraíba, localizado na microrregião do cariri oriental com uma área territorial de 425 km². Na forma de cenários e sob duas situações de análises (manejo convencional e orgânico), foram realizados testes visando estudar as condições de operação ótima e conjunta do sistema, sob os aspectos de comportamento da área em estudo e estimativas da geração de renda e de emprego, no intuito de obter valores que darão suporte no processo de decisão no tocante ao gerenciamento mais adequado na produção agrícola. Os resultados apresentam total viabilidade técnica na aplicação do modelo para a maximização dos benefícios em análise e no fornecimento de subsídios para o gerenciamento ótimo de setores agrícolas.The process of obtaining new agricultural methodologies with the objective of accelerating the food production to assist the population growth proceeds in the sense, among others, of maximizing the productivity and the profit. That’s the importance of researches on mechanisms that result in a sustainable balance among financial, social and environmental aspects. Within this context, the optimization models can provide a better solution for the processes that take place in a specific productive sector. This research has the objective of comparing the conventional and organic agriculture, based on the confrontation of economic benefits (liquid revenue). The comparisons were conducted under the injunction of several hidro-climatic, economic and cultural scenarios (plantation practices), using CISDERGO as a mathematical and computational tool. The application of the model was in an agricultural area of the municipal district of Boqueirão in Paraíba, located in the microrregion of the oriental Cariri with a territorial area of 425 km². Tests were conducted using scenarios and two analyses situations (conventional and organic handling) with the objective of studying the optimum operation and the combined conditions of the system. Aspects regarding the behavior of the area in study and estimates of the income and employment generation were analyzed, seeking to obtain values that will give support in the decision making process concerning the most adequate management for the agricultural production. The results demonstrated a total technical viability for the application of the model for the benefits maximization in analysis and for the subsidies supply for the optimum management agricultural sectors
