No. of bitstreams: 1 JOÃO BATISTA DE QUEIROZ SOUZA - DISSERTAÇÃO PPGECA 2007..pdf: 8153822 bytes, checksum: 2803b668c4ebcfa9c34970ab77292105 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2007-12-21Na grande Belém/PA e nas rodovias BR-316, trecho: Belém – Divisa PA/MA, e BR- 010, conhecida como a rodovia Belém-Brasília, o agregado utilizado nas misturas asfálticas é o seixo, proveniente de jazidas, situadas nos municípios de Ourém, São Miguel do Guama e Capanema. Este trabalho apresenta o estudo de sete misturas: três do tipo densas e continuas, atendendo a faixa granulométrica “C” da antiga especificação do DNER, ES-313/, moldadas com o ligante CAP-50/70, proveniente da LUBNOR, Fortaleza/CE e quatro misturas descontínuas tipo SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt), com granulometrias atendendo a NAPA (2002), confeccionadas com ligante CAP-50/70 da LUBNOR e CAP 30/45 da REDUC, Rio de Janeiro. O filer utilizado nas sete misturas foi o cimento Portland. As características mecânicas foram definidas pelo módulo de resiliência, resistência a tração, deformabilidade sob cargas repetidas e fadiga em corpos de prova cilíndricos compactados, segundo o método Marshall com 50 golpes por face. O módulo resiliênte das misturas SMA, foram superiores aos das misturas densas e contínuas, a utilização do CAP-30/45 não influenciou no resultado dos módulos quando comparados com o CAP-50/70. A resistência a tração dessas misturas apresentaram valores semelhantes, com variação em torno de 7%, nas misturas SMA, o tipo de ligante influenciou nos resultados, gerando valores menores para as misturas com ligante CAP-50/70. Na compressão axial dinâmica (creep dinâmico), os fatores que foram preponderantes para a obtenção de uma menor deformação permanente foram o seixo in-natura seguido do teor de ligante, independente do tipo de ligante. Quanto à vida de fadiga em ensaio de compressão diametral a 25ºC, as misturas SMA, apresentaram comportamento superiores aos das misturas densas e continuas. Quando comparado a vida de fadiga, só das misturas SMA, o tipo de ligante influenciou no desempenho, ou seja, o CAP30/ 45, proporcionou melhor desempenho do que, o CAP-50/70. A determinação da espessura de CBUQ para cada mistura, calculada em função da estrutura da base, sub-base e sub-leito e do tráfego da BR-316/PA, através do FEPAVE, para um período de projeto 10 anos, e com o custo de produção por tonelada do CBUQ, conferiu a mistura, que teve como agregado o seixo britado, a melhor relação custo-benefício entre as misturas densas e continuas. As misturas SMA também apresentaram relação custo-benefício superior quando comparadas com a mistura, que é utilizada atualmente na BR-316/PA. A alternativa de revestimento composto por uma primeira camada de CBUQ, com mistura densa e continua, sobreposta por uma segunda camada de SMA, demonstrou ser também uma boa solução.In Belém outskirts and BR316 highway, PA/MA division, and BR010, known as Belém- Brasília highway, the aggregate used in asphalt mixtures is pebble coming from the mines located in Ourem, São Miguel do Guama and Capanema. This work presents the analysis of seven mixtures: three dense and continuous mixtures, in the “C” granulometric zone of the old DNER specification, ES-313/97, moulded with CAP-50/70 link, coming from LUBNOR, Fortaleza/CE and four SMA discontinuous mixtures, with NAPA (2002) granulometry, moulded with CAP-50/70 link from LUBNOR and CAP-30/45 link from REDUC, Rio de Janeiro. The filler used in the mixtures was Portland cement. The mechanical characteristics were defined by the resilient modulus, tension strength, strain under repeated loading and fatigue in compacted cylindrical specimens, according to Marshall method with 50 blows by side. The resilient modulus of SMA mixtures were higher than the dense and continuous mixtures, the CAP-30/45 did not influence the modulus values when compared with CAP- 50/70. The mixtures tension strength presented similar values, with a variation around 7% in the SMA mixture, the link type influenced the results, generating lower values for the mixtures with CAP-50/70 link. In axial dynamic compression, the prevailing factors for obtaining a lower permanent strain were in natura pebble followed by the link content, no matter what kind of link. Concerning the fatigue life in the diametrical compression test at 25oC, the SMA mixtures presented better behaviour than the dense and continuous mixtures. Comparing the fatigue life of the SMA mixtures, the CAP-30/45 provided a better performance than the CAP-50/70. The determination of CBUQ thickness for each mixture, calculated as function of base, sub-base and sub-berth structure and the traffic in BR-316/PA, by FEPAVE, for a period of 10 years and with the production cost by CBUQ ton, established mixture 03, which aggregate was brittled pebble, the better cost-benefit relationship among the dense and continuous mixtures. The SMA mixtures also presented cost-benefit relationship higher when compared with mixture 01, used now in BR-316/PA. The covering option composed by a first CBUQ layer, with dense and continuous mixture, superposed by a second SMA layer, showed to be a good solution
