Nesse sentido, objetivou-se estudar a viabilidade agronômica da hortelã (Mentha piperita L.) sob quantidades e formas de aplicação da mistura de jitirana mais esterco bovino. O experimento foi conduzido na fazenda experimental Rafael Fernandes no período de 24/08/2017 a 23/11/2017, no distrito de Alagoinha, zona rural de Mossoró – RN. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos completos casualizados em esquema fatorial 5x2, com quatro repetições. O primeiro fator foi constituído pelas quantidades da mistura de jitirana mais esterco bovino (0,0; 1,4; 2,8; 4,2 e 5,6 kg/m2), o segundo fator foi composto pela forma de manejo da mistura de jitirana e esterco bovino (incorporado e em cobertura). Para a cultura da hortelã, plantou-se a cultivar Mentha piperita. Foram avaliadas as seguintes características: altura da biomassa, rendimento, massa seca, número de molhos, teor e rendimento de óleo. Não se observou interação entre as quantidades de jitirana e as formas de manejo da jitirana mais esterco bovino em nenhuma das características avaliadas. O melhor rendimento de hortelã (1,5 kg/m2), número de molhos (16,4 unidades/m2), porcentagem de óleo (6,73 g/kg) e rendimento de óleo (1,37 g/m2), foi observado na quantidade de 4,2 kg/m2 de jitirana. Entre as formas de manejo, a incorporação da jitirana mais esterco bovino, foi estatisticamente superior quando se colocou em cobertura, com exceção para o rendimento de óleo, com valores de 1,7 g/m2 de rendimento de hortelã, 15,8 unidades de molhos/m2 e 6,8 g/kg de porcentagem de óleo.The use of the organic fertilizer mixture is an alternative for farmers who produce in an agroecological system, as it contributes to the reduction of production costs and greater efficiency in the use of the inputs available in the production areas. In this sense, the objective was to study the agronomic viability of mint (Mentha piperita L.) under quantities and forms of application of the jitirana mixture plus bovine manure. The experiment conducted at the experimental farm Rafael Fernandes from 08/24/2017 to 11/23/2017, in the district of Alagoinha, rural area of Mossoró – RN. The experimental design was a randomized complete block design in a 5 x 2 factorial scheme, with four replications. The first factor consisted of the quantities of the mixture of jitirana plus bovine manure (0, 0, 1, 4, 2, 8, 4, 2 and 5, 6 kg / m2), the second factor was composed by the way of handling the mixture of jitirana and bovine manure (incorporated and in cover). For the mint crop, the cultivar Mentha piperita planted. The following characteristics evaluated biomass height, yield, and dry mass, number of sauces, oil content and yield. No interaction observed between the amounts of jitirana and the forms of management of jitirana plus bovine manure in any of the characteristics evaluated. The best yield of mint (1.5 kg / m2), number of sauces (16.4 units / m2), oil percentage (6.73 g / kg) and oil yield (1.37 g / m2) observed in the amount of 4.2 kg / m2 of jithrana.
