A precipitação estar intimamente ligada com o desenvolvimento de determinadas atividades relacionadas à agricultura, tal variável se relaciona e influência de forma direta os eventos agrícolas, além do mais é importante para definição do clima de qualquer região. Mediante sua importância o presente trabalho faz referência ao estudo da variável precipitação e sua influência em eventos agrícolas. O objetivo deste concentrou-se em realizar uma análise de tendências pluviométricas com os eventos agrícolas, a partir de dados pluviométricos registrados em estações pluviométricas referentes aos municípios inseridos na área de estudo, ou seja, estações pluviométricas de cidades inseridas no estado da Paraíba-PB e pertencentes à bacia hidrográfica Pianco-Piranhas-Açu. Para elaboração desse projeto foram montadas rotinas matemáticas com o auxilio do software matlab para que as séries históricas fossem analisadas. Além da aplicação do teste estatístico Mann-Kendall para determinar as tendências monotônicas. Para as oito localidades estudadas apenas a cidade de Itaporanga apresentou tendência, sendo essa negativa.Precipitation is characterized as a very important variable for the hydrological cycle, corresponding to the phase at which water returns to the surface.
