Growth and production of sesame under irrigation with treated wastewater and fertilizing with castor oil plant pie.

O experimento foi conduzido na Estação Experimental de Tratamentos Biológicos de Esgotos Sanitários, EXTRABES, nos laboratórios do grupo de pesquisa do Programa de Saneamento Básico, PROSAB. O experimento foi estabelecido em delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado, com três repetições, vinte e quatro tratamentos. Sendo os fatores duas cultivares (CNPA G3 e CNPA G4), duas qualidades de água (água de abastecimento potável e água residuária tratada), cinco doses de torta de mamona nos quais se aplicou 0, 2, 3, 4, 5 t/ha e quatro testemunhas (CNPA G3 com NPK e água de abastecimento, CNPA G4 com NPK e água de abastecimento, CNPA G3 com NPK e água residuária tratada e CNPA G4 com NPK com água residuária tratada. Foram 72 unidades experimentais, cada unidade experimental constituída de um vaso e uma planta. A cultivar CNPA G4 apresentou maiores médias de altura, diâmetro caulinar e área foliar e número de frutos, quando comparada com a cultivar CNPA G3. De modo geral a água residuária tratada é uma boa fonte de nutrientes para as plantas de gergelim proporcionando maiores médias nas variáveis analisadas. A torta de mamona pode ser aplicada como fonte de adubação orgânica para a cultura do gergelim, respondendo positivamente aos tratamentos com os níveis de adubação, com melhores médias a medida que se aumentava a dose de adubação até um ponto, indicando que possivelmente exista um limite até o qual as plantas respondam ao aumento de adubação.The objective of this research was to study the effects of the treated wastewater used in irrigation and organic fertilizing using castor oil plant pie on growth and production of two sesame cultivais. The experiment was carried out in a Wastewater Biological Treatment Experimental Station, EXTRABES, at Basic Sanitation Program research group laboratories, PROSAB. The experimental design was in blocks completely at random, with three repetitions, twenty for treatments. The factors were two cultivars (CNPA G3 e CNPA G4), two qualities of water (potable supply water and treated wastewater), five dosages of castor oil plant pie in which were applied 0, 2, 3, 4, 5 t.ha"1 and four witnesses (CNPA G3 with NPK and supply water, CNPA G4 with NPK and supply water, CNPA G3 with NPK and treated wastewater and CNPA G4 with NPK treated wastewater. There were 72 experimental uniries, each one constituted of a pot and a plant. The CNPA G4 cultivar showed the higher averages of height stem diameter and leaf area and fruits number compared to the CNPA G3 cultivar. In general the treated wastewater is a good nutrients source to the sesame plants providing the higher averages on the analyzed variables. The castor oil plant pie can be applied as a source of organic fertilizing to the sesame crop, answering positively to the fertilizing leveis treatment, with better averages while the dose of fertilizing was increased up to a point. indicating what possibly exists a limit up to which the plants respond to the increasing of the fertilizing
