Uma planta promissora para ser utilizada como substrato em biorrefinarias é o sisal, pois possui 90 % de açúcares fermentáveis e 10 % a mais de celulose que a cana-de-açúcar, além do que o Brasil é o maior produtor de sisal do mundo, sendo o seu bagaço obtido durante sua manufatura e descartado no campo, sem aplicações tecnologias desenvolvidas para seu melhor aproveitamento. Dentre os métodos utilizados para pré-tratar biomassas estão os que fazem uso de agentes ácidos, alcalinos e oxidantes. Nesse contexto visando realizar um pré-tratamento efetivo no bagaço do sisal, foram aplicados pré-tratamentos nesta biomassa objetivando a desconstrução da barreira promovida pela recalcitrância inerente aos vegetais. Esses pré-tratamentos tem por finalidade a remoção da lignina, solubilização da hemicelulose e exposição da celulose. Neste trabalho foram avaliados pré-tratamentos ácido (H2SO4) com concentração ácida a 1% temperatura 120ºC por 1h , alcalino (NaOH) com concentração alcalina a 4% temperatura 120ºC por 1h e oxidante (Fenton) com concentrações de FeSO4 e H2O2 4,25 e 5000 mmol, respectivamente por 1h no bagaço do sisal. Para a determinação das condições ótimas para os pré-tratamentos aplicados, a biomassa submetida ao tratamento combinado (ácido-base) foi hidrolisada através de enzimas comerciais Celluclast 1.5L da Novozyme e beta-glicosidase da Proenzyme, obtendo rendimento de 23.561 mg.L-1 de glicose, para o pré-tratamento Fenton realizou-se o processo de hidrólise fazendo uso do tempo ótimo de 36 h obtendo-se a concentração de 4987,28 mg.L-1 de glicose . Para a avaliação dos pré-tratamentos e da hidrólise enzimática realizou-se a aplicação de planejamentos experimentais fatoriais. As biomassas foram caracterizadas através de protocolo físico-químico (Embrapa 236) e de técnicas instrumentais (TG/DTG e DRX) antes e depois da aplicação dos pré-tratamentos, o que evidenciou as mudanças estruturais causadas pelos mesmos.The pre-treatment step (physical, chemical and combined) applied to plant biomass has been considered a determinant in the potentialization of the yield of high value-added chemical products and by-products that are obtained from the refining of lignocellulosic materials. In this work, acid (H2SO4) pre-treated with 1% acid concentration at 120ºC for 1h, alkaline (NaOH) with 4% alkaline concentration at 120ºC for 1h and oxidant (Fenton) with FeSO4 and H2O2 concentrations 4,25 And 5000 mmol, respectively for 1 h in the sisal bagasse.
