Teacher Generated Material in Analysis: Digital Genres in Languages Teaching

It is known that in the private school system the teacher generated material has constituted the main mediation instrument of teacher’s work. Therefore, this study aims at analyzing a unit on digital genres that composes this generated material, and investigating whether the activities mobilize language capacities. We focus on reading and writing activities analysis from the material adopted by a school in a city in the center of Paraná/Brazil. This analysis becomes relevant and leads us to reflect on the teaching proposals that underlie this material. The theoretical and methodological framework of sociodiscursive interactionism includes the concept of textual genre (BRONCKART, 2012; SCHNEUWLY, 2004); the notions of language capacities and macrostructure (DOLZ; SCHNEUWLY, 2004; DOLZ; TOULOU, 2008), as well as the notions of digital genres (MARCUSCHI, 2008; XAVIER, 2010) and teacher generated material (BUNZEN, 2001) guide our study. We conclude, in general, the activities mobilize different language capacities, however, there are some gaps to review, as unsatisfactory class load, textual production with no social function, and the development of activities which enable to analyze deeply the students language skills.Sabe-se que na rede privada o ensino apostilado constitui-se o principal instrumento de mediação das atividades do professor. Assim, buscamos analisar uma unidade de ensino sobre gêneros digitais proposta em material apostilado e investigar se as atividades mobilizam as capacidades de linguagem. O recorte que apresentamos é uma análise de atividades de leitura e escrita em apostila adotada por uma escola de uma cidade localizada na região central do Paraná. A análise torna-se relevante por levar-nos a uma reflexão sobre as propostas de ensino subjacentes ao material. O arcabouço teórico-metodológico é do interacionismo sociodiscursivo com o conceito de gêneros textuais (BRONCKART, 2012; SCHNEUWLY, 2004), as noções de capacidades de linguagem e macroestrutura (DOLZ; SCHNEUWLY, 2004; DOLZ; TOULOU, 2008), bem como as noções de gêneros digitais MARCUSCHI, 2008; XAVIER, 2010) e material apostilado (BUNZEN, 2001) guiam o nosso estudo. Concluímos que as atividades de forma geral mobilizam diferentes capacidades de linguagem, havendo, porém, algumas lacunas a revisar como carga horária insatisfatória da disciplina, produção de textos sem função social e o desenvolvimento de atividades que possibilitem analisar a fundo as capacidades de linguagem dos alunos
