Narrativity, corporality and realism of shock in Mooca, São Paulo and Um céu de estrelas

Tata Amaral’s dramatic-realistic film Um céu de estrelas (1996) is analyzed from the structuring of its story, with special attention to its aspects of montage, setting, and movement. The film analysis proposes, in the same impulse, the reading of the short film Mooca, São Paulo (1996), by Francisco César Filho, an initial sequence of Um céu de estrelas especially made to compose the cinema distribution. This article investigates how this set established the construction of bodies in a way that makes them oscillate between rest and explosion, eroticism and abjection, public and private space, between dramatic naturalism and critical detachment. Thus, this article points the contribution of these materials to the contradictory contemporary realism of the late twentieth century in Brazilian cinema.O drama realista Um céu de estrelas (1996), de Tata Amaral, é analisado a partir da estruturação do seu relato, com especial atenção a aspectos de montagem, cenário e movimentação. A análise fílmica propõe-se a operar a leitura do curta-metragem Mooca, São Paulo (1996), de Francisco César Filho, sequência inicial do primeiro. Este artigo investiga como o conjunto estabeleceu a construção dos corpos numa condição que os faz oscilar entre repouso e explosão, erotismo e abjeção, espaço público e privado, naturalismo dramático e distanciamento crítico. Aponta-se, assim, a contribuição desses materiais ao contraditório realismo contemporâneo do final do século XX no cinema brasileiro
