Analysis of the characterization of the distribution of the population: use of gis vs. urban zoning. The case study of Ituiutaba-MG

And among the various topics analyzed, one of the sheds with greater emphasis is studying urban related themes, due to the complexity of the relationship in this medium. Geographical science provides essential tools for the analysis of the elements which highlights the forms and functions. In this context, the research aims to analyze the general urban zoning Ituiutaba-MG and urban growth from the notes contained in the strategic plan and on the zoning, through the use of geographic information systems-Gis and geo-information. Specifically, we sought to: (a) the context of urban planning and zoning specific applied to the urban environment, dissecting his notes and determinations; (b) espacializar the dichotomy that exists in the urban area between urban areas decades of 1970 and 2010, highlighting its features and determinations contained in urban zoning in force in the municipality on the basis of the income of the Census sectors of the municipality and (c) addressed the use and occupation of the soil, as well as your distribution and characterization based on cartographic products generated. Methodologically, the research is structured in phases: initially the operationalization of concepts via bibliographic surveys, related to the concepts of urban geography, urban planning and zoning and the geographical information systems and geoprocessing. the second phase consisted in collecting data, which helped in the understanding of the urban space of Ituiutaba. In the third step, the tabulation of the information available in the digital media, and your subsequent transformation into cartographic materials, which allowed observation and discussion between the premises of zoning and your real application. The municipality of Ituiutaba-MG, once an important granary of Triângulo Mineiro, from 1970 attracted an intense migratory flow thus reaching a significant population for the município and in specific, for your urban area. Thus, the implementation of a strategic plan to sort this out properly measure expansion used to develop the urban environment. However, the stagnation or lack of update of this strategic plan, as well as management of public power little concerned with this issue, the municipality, lost much of the investment potential that received, for other locations nearby. From 2001, it was established the status of cities, which makes a device that goal the urban planning at national level, and in this way in 2006, the municipality of Ituiutaba implements the integrated urban Planning, to enable the orderly development, however no matter how much the city resumes a profile of urban growth, the development itself, little changed. As a final step, analysis in order to understand the areas in the urban area in the municipality, and the impacts of zoning applied to the urban environment.A Geografia enquanto ciência tem seu objeto de estudo centrado na compreensão da relação sociedade e natureza. E dentre os diversos temas analisados, uma das vertentes com maior destaque é a que estuda temáticas relacionadas ao urbano, devido à complexidade das relações existentes neste meio. A ciência geográfica dispõe de ferramentas essenciais para a análise dos elementos que evidencia as formas e funções atuais. Neste contexto, a pesquisa tem como objetivo geral analisar o zoneamento urbano de Ituiutaba-MG e o crescimento urbano a partir dos apontamentos contidos no Plano Diretor e no próprio Zoneamento, através da utilização dos Sistemas e Informação Geográfica – SIGs e geotecnologias. Especificamente, buscou-se: (a) contextualizar o planejamento urbano e em específico o zoneamento aplicado ao meio urbano, dissecando seus apontamentos e determinações; (b) espacializar a dicotomia existente na área urbana entre as áreas urbanas as décadas de 1970 e 2010, ressaltando suas características e determinações contidas no zoneamento urbano em vigor no município com base na renda dos setores censitários do município e (c) dissertar o uso e ocupação do solo, bem como a caracterização populacional e sua distribuição com base nos produtos cartográficos gerados. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa se estruturou em etapas: inicialmente realizou-se a operacionalização dos conceitos via levantamentos bibliográficos, relacionados aos conceitos de geografia urbana, planejamento e zoneamento urbano e os sistemas de informação geográficos e o geoprocessamento. A segunda fase consistiu na coleta de dados, que auxiliaram na compreensão do espaço urbano de Ituiutaba. Na terceira etapa, realizou-se a tabulação das informações disponíveis em meio digital, e sua posterior transformação em materiais cartográficos, que permitiu a observação e a discussão entre as premissas de zoneamento e sua real aplicação. O município de Ituiutaba-MG, outrora um importante celeiro agrícola do triângulo mineiro, a partir de 1970 atraiu um intenso fluxo migratório desta forma atingindo um significativo contingente populacional para o município e, em especifico, para sua área urbana. Assim, a implantação de um plano diretor para ordenar esta expansão fora uma medida corretamente utilizada para desenvolver o meio urbano. Entretanto, a estagnação ou falta de atualização deste plano diretor, bem como gestões do poder público pouco preocupadas com esta temática, fizeram com que o município, perdesse boa parte do potencial investimento que recebia, para outras localidades próximas. A partir de 2001, foi instaurado o estatuto das cidades, que se torna um dispositivo que baliza os planejamentos urbanos em nível nacional, e desta maneira em 2006, o município de Ituiutaba implementa o Planejamento Urbano Integrado, para possibilitar o desenvolvimento ordenado, todavia por mais que a cidade retome um perfil de crescimento urbano, o desenvolvimento em si, pouco fora alterado. Como etapa final, foi realizada a análise visando compreender as zonas na área urbana atualmente no município, e os impactos dos zoneamentos aplicados ao meio urbano
