The purpose of this study is to examine the method of repeated readings\ud and its effect on the fluency of young readers in their primary language.\ud Through the use of repeated readings, (rereading a passage until it is\ud mastered), students enjoy learning to read while becoming fluent and\ud competent readers. This study supports that the repeated reading method\ud promotes fluency, intonation, expression, comprehension and motivation\ud in all readers. Repeated readings also facilitate the process of learning to\ud read making it a pleasant and manageable experience for emergent\ud readers.
