Teachers Life stories of Landless workers movement and their contribution to visual arts teaching process.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível SuperiorThis work is a master s degree dissertation, linked to research interest number four education and arts of the post graduate program in education by federal university in santa maria, it intended, from three teacher s story life of landless workers movement, to contribute with the visual arts teaching process. For this, the research sought to understand about life story as a way to contextualize the participants of the report through the dialectical materialism theoretical approach. The report was building by biographical interview. In this process the participants were chalenged to tell about their lives trhough a narration, as well as about their political activism and teaching formation, also their insertion in the visual arts teaching process. All of the three participants life stories show the landless workers worry with the training of leaders in relation to the specific formation, in this case, the teachers formation, associated with political activism, aiming a transformation in society. This kind of formation showed a teaching practice that suggests to resize the meanings of everyday life objects, like the tent, the tools, the seeds and the soil, using each of these elements as a symbol with great aesthetic potential, and also to show the necessity of a superior theorectical formation about the production of the images, a fact that is also resposabilty of the universities through its cooperation.A presente dissertação, vinculada à Linha de Pesquisa 4 - Educação e Artes, do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, buscou a partir da história de vida de três educadoras do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem-Terra (MST), contribuir no debate acerca do Ensino das Artes Visuais. Para tanto, entendeu a pesquisa sobre história de vida enquanto a contextualização do relato realizado pelas colaboradoras, utilizando o materialismo dialético como enfoque teórico. O relato foi construído mediante uma entrevista biográfica, onde ao entrevistado é problematizada a construção de uma narrativa sobre sua vida, sua militância, as características da sua formação docente e a inserção do ensino das artes visuais nesse processo. As histórias de vida das três educadoras participantes da pesquisa demonstram a preocupação dos militantes do MST na formação de dirigentes, aliando a busca na formação específica, no caso a formação de professoras, com a militância política, objetivando a transformação da sociedade. Esse processo de formação demonstrou uma prática docente que procura redimensionar os significados dos objetos do dia-a-dia, como a barraca, os instrumentos de trabalho, as sementes e a terra utilizando-os como símbolos, com um grande potencial estético, e também, a necessidade de uma maior formação teórica sobre a produção de imagens, fato que é responsabilidade também das universidades
