HISTORY OF FAITH AND WORK: CULTURAL PROPERTIES OF VALE VÊNETO

The subject of the research is The History of Faith and Work of Vale Vêneto in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, represented by its cultural goods. In order to develop the work, it was done a bibliographical and documental research of theoretical foundation about the theme that is going to be approached. The main study object are the main elements that symbolize religiosity and work and make part of Italian colonization history in Vale Vêneto, having as the general objective to build an instrument with information related to these elements which constitute the local historical heritage. From the point of view of its objectives, the research is characterized as a descriptive one and has a qualitative approach. The methodological procedures adopted aiming at finding answers to the proposed theme were based on an interview with semi-structured questions whose answers of the interviewees were recorded by the applicator. Another instrument to register and to document the research was the photographic register of the main symbols identified. Participated as collaborators, young and adult residents, volunteers from the community, descendants of Italians aged between thirteen years and one hundred and two years. Through this investigation, it was identified that in order to keep alive the spirituality, it was fundamental the presence of the religious symbols and to supply the needs for survival in the new land, it was necessary the hard work of the immigrants. The final product of this research was the elaboration of an illustrative material in which were registered the photos and the historical contextualization of the symbols identified as representant of religiosity and work of Italian Colonization in Vale Vêneto.A temática da pesquisa é A Historia de Fé e Trabalho de Vale Vêneto, representada pelos seus Bens Culturais. Para realizar o trabalho, foi feita uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental de embasamento teórico para o tema a ser abordado. Como principal objeto deste estudo são os principais elementos que simbolizam a religiosidade e o trabalho que fazem parte da história da colonização italiana em Vale Vêneto, tendo como objetivo geral construir um instrumento com informações relacionadas a estes elementos e que constituem o patrimônio histórico local. Do ponto de vista de seus objetivos a pesquisa caracteriza-se como descritiva e tem abordagem qualitativa. Os procedimentos metodológicos adotados para buscar resposta aos objetivos propostos foram baseados em uma entrevista com perguntas semi-estruturada cujas respostas dos informantes foram registradas pelo aplicador. Outro instrumento para documentar a pesquisa foi o registro fotográfico dos principais símbolos identificados. Participaram como colaboradores, moradores jovens e adultos voluntários da comunidade, descendentes de italianos com idade entre treze e cento e dois anos. Através desta investigação, constatou-se que para manter viva a espiritualidade, foi fundamental a presença dos símbolos religiosos e para suprir as necessidades de sobrevivência na nova terra, foi o trabalho árduo dos imigrantes. O produto final desta pesquisa foi a elaboração de uma material ilustrativo onde foram registradas as fotos e a contextualiação histórica dos símbolos identificados como representantes da religiosidade e o trabalho da colonização italiana em Vale Vêneto
