HEGEMONIA COMO VIA DE ACESSO AO PENSAMENTO DE GRAMSCI: UM FOCO NA REVOLUÇÃO PASSIVA

This article makes part of a collective effort for the study of the thought of Antonio Gramsci, in the search for clues to analyze power enigmas in contemporary life. Having as a central reference the thinker's concept of hegemony, I embark on a (re)reading of his work. I recover, thus, studies I had concluded in the 1980s, by reaffirming an interpretation of hegemony as both direction and dominion, involving consensus and force, in the context of within and between class relations. I focus, also, on the notion of passive revolution as a strategy of the dominators to coopt movements and democratic-popular struggles that dare to challenge its power.Este artigo integra um empreendimento coletivo para estudo do pensamento de Antonio Gramsci, em busca de pistas para analisar enigmas do poder na vida contemporânea. Tendo como referência central o conceito de hegemonia, deste pensador, faço uma (re)leitura da sua obra. Retomo, assim, estudos que realizei nos anos 1980, reafirmando, aqui, uma interpretação de hegemonia como direção e domínio, envolvendo consenso e força, no contexto de relações inter classes e entre classes. Focalizo, também, o conceito de revolução passiva como uma estratégia dos dominantes para absorver movimentos e lutas democrático-populares que ousem ameaçar o seu poder
