Includes bibliographical references (page 45)In past years, computers have made significant contributions to mathematics education both as problem solving tools and as tutors in computer assisted instruction programs (CAI). Both of these contributions have been student centered than teacher centered in their approach. This paper suggests a new role for computers in mathematics education. It proposes that teachers use computers as actual teaching aids in the classroom to illustrate mathematical theory. (See more in text.
