This thesis explores how four college students who enjoy writing and feel confident\ud about their writing ability perceive the role of emotion in their writing processes.\ud Participant responses are put in conversation with relevant literature on the topics of\ud affect, response, and psychoanalysis in an effort to bring together three existing, but not\ud currently interwoven strands of research and scholarship.
