Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) is a neurobehavioral syndrome marked by inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity (American Psychiatric Association, 2000). The essential features of the disorder include a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity that is more frequent than typically observed in individuals at a comparable development level.
