TRADUÇÃO E CRÍTICA LITERÁRIA DA OBRA, THE BLACK CAT ,DE EDGAR ALLAN POE

This work develops a theoretical dialogue with the thinkers of the translation techniques, drawing a parallel between form and meaning and showing the importance of the implementation language in the tales of Poe for Portugueses readers to have the opportunity to meet literary works by this author that were originally written in English. Were used two translations of the same tale: Ricardo Gouveia and Clarice Lispector in comparison with the original Edgar Allan Poe, to understand how occurred the implementation process, aiming to see if there were significant changes at the semantic level through conversion into Portuguese. While theoretical were used names of relevant authors in this research area. The work is important, because it comes to meeting to the current context of language studies of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás, to interest the future s masters for this line of research.Esta pesquisa tem o objetivo de mostrar alguns aspectos da tradução no conto The Black Cat de Edgar Allan Poe. Este trabalho desenvolve um diálogo teórico com os pensadores das técnicas de tradução, fazendo um paralelo entre forma e sentido e mostrando ainda a importância da transposição linguística nos contos de Poe, para que leitores de língua portuguesa tenham a oportunidade de conhecer as obras literárias deste autor, que foram escritas originalmente em Inglês. Foram utilizados duas traduções do mesmo conto o de Ricardo Gouveia e Clarice Lispector em confronto com o original de Edgar Allan Poe, para entender como ocorreu o processo de transposição, visando assim observar se houve mudanças significativas no nível semântico ao longo da conversão para o português. Enquanto pressupostos teóricos são usados os autores de relevantes nomes nesta área de pesquisa. O trabalho é importante, pois vem ao encontro do atual contexto dos estudos Linguísticos da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás, para despertar o interesse dos futuros mestrandos para essa linha de pesquisa
