QUALIDADE FÍSICO-QUÍMICA DA ÁGUA DA BACIA NO ALTO DO RIO PARANÁ/GO

Data was collected in 31 properties in the towns of Piracanjuba, Morrinhos, Goiatuba, and Itumbiara. Therefore, this research aimed at determining and evaluating the physicochemical parameters (temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, conductivity, pH, nitrate, total sulfate, and phosphorus) to may from September 2009 (dry period). We analyzed the physicochemical variables, such as temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, turbidity, and pH in loco and the total sulfate, phosphorus, and nitrate were verified at the Chemistry laboratory at PUC-GO. The statistics for water temperature, dissolved oxygen, and pH showed proximity among data in the longitudinal profile, with low dispersion (standard deviation and coefficient of variation). The dispersion for conductivity, turbidity, nitrate, sulfate, and phosphorus were highlighted as more expressive in Piracanjuba, Morrinhos and Itumbiara. Regarding nitrate and sulfate, all points of collection were observed as normal, and regarding phosphorus, the results showed that all points of collection are, in average, above the maximum value allowed by legislation.Nesta dissertação foram avaliados alguns fatores que influenciam a qualidade da água no alto da bacia do Rio Paraná em Goiás, onde há a predominância da atividade agropecuária. Os dados foram coletados em 31 propriedades nos municípios de Piracanjuba, Morrinhos, Goiatuba e Itumbiara. Assim, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi determinar e avaliar os parâmetros físico-químicos (temperatura, oxigênio dissolvido, condutividade, turbidez, pH, nitrato, sulfato e fosfato) entre os meses de maio a setembro de 2009 (período de seca). As variáveis físico-químicas, tais como temperatura, oxigênio dissolvido, condutividade, turbidez e pH foram analisadas in loco e as de sulfato , fosfato e nitrato foram verificadas no laboratório de Química da PUC-GO. As medidas da temperatura da água, oxigênio dissolvido e pH demonstraram proximidade entre os dados no perfil longitudinal, com baixa dispersão (desvio padrão e coeficiente de variação). Ressalta-se que a dispersão para condutividade, turbidez, nitrato, sulfato e fosfato são mais expressivas no trecho de Piracanjuba, Morrinhos e Itumbiara. Em relação ao nitrato e sulfato, observou-se que todos os pontos de coleta estão dentro das normalidades e, quanto ao fosfato, os resultados mostraram que, em média, todos os pontos de coletas estão acima do valor máximo permitido pela legislação
