It is part of a destructive, sometimes deadly, cycle that often continues to be passed down within families and is increasing amongst today???s youth. Early prevention and intervention is an effective way to help stop the disease of addiction from spreading. The orthodox Jewish community generally avoids the discussion of addiction altogether, allowing for a problem that also has prevalence in Jewish high schools to be left unattended to.
