Textual Genre and the didactic sequence providing a meaningful linguistic analysis teaching through written production in English Language

Este estudo apresenta o objetivo geral de investigar a transposição didática no processo de implementação de uma Sequência Didática por meio dos gêneros textuais comics, comic strips, political cartoon, abordando as possibilidades de articulação entre o ensino de gramática/análise linguística e de expressão escrita (compreensão e produção) no contexto de ensino-aprendizagem da Língua Inglesa do Centro de Línguas Estrangeiras Modernas do Estado do Paraná CELEM. Mais detalhadamente, apresenta como objetivos específicos: 1) identificar nos documentos oficiais norteadores do ensino de línguas estrangeiras em nível nacional e estadual o tratamento dado à gramática/análise linguística e à escrita; 2) descrever e analisar a organização da Sequência Didática, voltando-se para a análise das atividades que apresentam potencial de desenvolver as capacidades de linguagem dos alunos, mais especificamente as capacidades linguístico-discursivas; 3) descrever e analisar o processo de transposição didática da já mencionada Sequência Didática , a qual se dá em dois níveis:no nível do que se propõe no material e no nível do trabalho do professor, com foco nas atividades de gramática/análise linguística via expressão escrita. Nosso arcabouço teórico metodológico fundamenta-se nos pressupostos do Interacionismo Sociodiscursivo ISD (BRONCKART,2006, 2008, 2010, 2012), nos conceitos de Sequência Didática e Capacidades de Linguagem (DOLZ; NOVERRAZ; SCHNEUWLY, 2010), bem como de Capacidade de Significação (CRISTOVÃO; STUTZ, 2011). Ainda, consideramos os estudos relacionados ao trabalho com a escrita em sala de aula: (DOLZ, GAGNON, DECÂNDIO, 2010), (PASQUIER, DOLZ, 1996), (BAZERMAN, 2011,2013), RUIZ (2013), bem como os estudos que se voltam à análise linguística (GERALDI,1991; 1997), TRAVAGLIA (2000; 2013), PERFEITO et.al. (2007), PERFEITO,CECÍLIO (2005), PORTO,PERFEITO (2012). A pesquisa se caracteriza como um estudo de cunho qualitativo interpretativista à luz do ISD, envolvendo a pesquisa-ação e análise documental. Com vistas a atingir o primeiro objetivo, fizemos o reconhecimento dos Segmentos de Orientação Temática: linguagem, escrita e gramática/análise linguística, nos documentos oficiais já mencionados, para identificar a concepção presente em cada um deles. A Sequência Didática foi analisada com base na adequação ao Modelo Teórico do Gênero, bem como por meio das análises interna (coerência das atividades com os objetivos elencados na própria sequência didática) e externa (análise das capacidades de linguagem). Por fim, o último objetivo teve como procedimentos de análise a descrição e análises das atividades da Sequência Didática que foram efetivamente implementadas pelo professor, bem como das adaptações promovidas por ele, sempre com enfoque na gramática/análise linguística via expressão escrita. Os resultados evidenciam haver pontos divergentes, bem como convergentes em relação à concepção de linguagem, gramática/análise linguística e escrita nos documentos oficiais norteadores do ensino de línguas estrangeiras, o que pode vir a dificultar, de certa maneira, o entendimento dos documentos e de suas propostas, fazendo com que causem pouco ou nenhum impacto nas salas de aula e na atuação do professor. Por outro lado, com relação ao procedimento Sequência Didática, os resultados da investigação permitem concluir que tal procedimento pode se tornar um artefato que possibilite o trabalho com a análise linguística a partir da demanda do uso do gênero textual, com vistas a um agir linguageiro motivado por um agir praxeológico.This study aims at investigating the didactic transposition in the implementation process of a Didactic Sequence through the text genres comics, comic strips and political cartoon, addressing the possibilities of articulation between the grammar/linguistic analysis teaching and written production (reading comprehension and writing ) in the context of teaching-learning of English language at the Center of Modern Foreign Languages from Paraná State CELEM. In a more detailed way, it presents as specific objectives: 1) Identify the treatment given to grammar/linguistic analysis and to writing as well as in the documents.; 2) describe and analyze the organization of the genre-based didactic sequence, turning to the analysis of the activities that present a potential of developing the students language capacities, more specifically, the linguistic-discursive capacities; 3) describe and analyze the process of didactic transposition of the genre-based didactic sequence mentioned previously, which occurs through two levels: based on what is proposed in the material and on the teachers work, with focus on the activities of grammar/linguistic analysis through written production.Our theoretical-methodical framework is based on the presuppositions of the Sociodiscursive Interactionism (ISD) (BRONCKART, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012), on the Didactic Sequence concepts and the Language Capacities (DOLZ; NOVERRAZ; SCHNEUWLY, 2010), as well as on the Signification Capacity (CRISTOVÃO, STUTZ, 2011). We still consider the studies related to the work with writing in the classroom: (DOLZ; GAGNON; DECÂNDIO, 2010), (PASQUIER; DOLZ, 1996), (BAZERMAN, 2011), RUIZ (2013), as well as the studies that turn to the linguistic analysis (GERALDI,1991; 1997), TRAVAGLIA (2000; 2013), PERFEITO et.al. (2007), PERFEITO,CECÍLIO (2005), PORTO, PERFEITO (2012). The research is characterized as a study of an interpretative and qualitative characteristic considering the ISD, involving the action-research and the document analysis. In order to get the first objective, we recognized the theme-oriented segments (TOS): language, writing and grammar/linguistic analysis, in the official documents mentioned previously to identify the conception in each one of them. The genrebased didactic sequence was analysed based on the appropriateness to the Genre Theoretical Model, as well as through the internal analysis (coherence of the activities with the objective described in the didactic sequence) and the external analysis as well as (language capacities analysis). Finally, the last objective had as analysis procedures the description and the analysis of the genre-based didactic sequence activities that were effectively implemented by the teacher, and the adaptations promoted by him, always focused on grammar/linguistic analysis through writing. The results indicate divergent views, and the converging points with relation to the conception of language, grammar/linguistic analysis and writing in the official document guiding the foreign language teaching, what can make the understanding of the document and its proposals difficult, in a certain way, causing a few or no impact at all in the classrooms and in the teachers acting. On the other hand, with relation to the Didactic Sequence procedure, the results of the investigation allows us to conclude that such procedure can be an instrument that enables the work with the linguistic analysis from the demand of the text genre usage, with a view of language acting motivated through praxeological acting
