The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of\ud self-efficacy and intelligence on performance on\ud examinations. As reported by Gist (1987), an\ud experience of mastering a task or ability (e.g.,\ud examination) is one way to influence self-efficacy.\ud This study suggests that personal self efficacy\ud regarding examinations is very important to student\ud success at first, but that over time other factors\ud negate this advantage. For example, the student???s\ud initial view of their intelligence can impact their\ud performance on examinations.
