BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Embolization of meningiomas has emerged as a preoperative adjuvant therapy that has proved effective in mitigating blood loss during surgical resection. Arterial supply to these tumors is typically identified by diffuse areas of parenchymal staining after selective x-ray angiograms.
