Thesis (M.A., Child Development) -- California State University, Sacramento, 2010.Traditional bullying among adolescents has become a common problem; however a new trend of bullying emerging in schools around the world known as cyberbullying. Two hundred and twenty-six students were surveyed about their experiences with cyberbullying, and their connection to school. Results indicated that cyberbullying occurred most often through text messaging and social networking sites. Correlations between academic performance and the different forms of cyberbullying revealed a significant relationship between text-bullying and math performance.
