Mindset and achievement development and support for motivation and learning a workshop for school professionals: transitioning students

Project (Ed.S., School Psychology) -- California State University, Sacramento, 2010.This staff development workshop aims to promote mindset-based instruction for use by school professionals. Through our literature review on the motivation and learning of students, it has been established that a difference in the theory of intelligence is often linked with achievement outcome. We have developed this workshop to train educators how to encourage students to adopt a growth mindset in the school setting. It is hoped that through this workshop, educators will develop an awareness of how the delivery of instruction can affect students??? academic success. The collaborators??? synchronous method of communication allowed for the synchronous collaborative development of each part of this project, whereby all responsibilities required for successful completion intersected.School Psycholog
