To be able to provide adequate services and support to this population, it was crucial to hear parent stories first hand and give voice to those affected. This researcher???s sources of data included five families that met the criteria of having an adult child who was in special education with a developmental disability. The nature of parent support, parent involvement, and resilience were themes that emerged. Parents shared their children???s educational experiences and stressors they had faced.
