Project (M.S.W., Social Work) -- California State University, Sacramento, 2010.This study explored the effectiveness of a short term stress management and relaxation workshop in reducing stress levels and in increasing the aptitude for the building of social capital capacity. The researchers used secondary data from the pre and post stress checklist that the participants in a stress reduction workshop had completed. The correlation between the stress levels of the participants and the perceived helpfulness of the stress management workshop as rated by the participants was calculated.
