In fact, every parent deals with behavior issues in some point in their parenthood and at a different level of concern. The issue with behavior is not the child to blame, rather the parents approach to the child's behavior. In this project, parents learn two parenting skills: first, identify the behavior and what is causing it and second, what actions can be taken to change from a negative behavior to a more positive behavior. The project consist of five behavioral workshops to teach parents powerful parenting strategies to implement on their children. The workshops are composed of the following topics: positive reinforcement, acknowledging children's feelings, engaging cooperation, alternatives to punishment, and encouraging autonomy in children. Each workshop has been developed to provide a variety of activities focusing on the diverse learning modalities of parents and reaching their individual learning styles.
