MANET's are usually characterized by mobility of nodes and communication over multiple hops. Hence, MANET links are short lived and the topology is very dynamic. In order to simulate a new protocol for MANET, it is necessary to use a mobility model that accurately represents the mobile nodes (MN's) that will eventually utilize the given protocol.
