Efficient implementation of analysis synthesis channelizer structure

Includes bibliographical references (p. 51).The Advancement of the wireless communication industry has now posed the challenge of creating the most efficient Communication system in performance, cost and size. Increased data rates and spectrum traffic have added more challenges to the list. Every component in this digital wireless communication system is itself a whole system to design. So are the Digital Filters which are like the back bone of the wireless communication system. With wireless communication industry products getting more miniature day by day, the design needs to concentrate not just on the speed and efficiency but also the size of the components. Hence accuracy of the component can be at stack by accounting all the other constraints. This thesis contains an investigation of the principles, structure, and methodology of efficient method of implementation polyphase channelization filter structure. The backbone of the process relies on the features of multi-rate signal processing with specific support from digital filter structures. Application specific polyphase filter structures for up-sampling and down-sampling are explained, modeled, and simulated to show how they can be implemented. Various filter structure is modeled and simulated, then provided with various inputs to compare the results and hence demonstrate the small errors in the filter structure. The errors are then rectified to present the efficient method for the implementation of the polyphase filter structure. The thesis thus present concepts for the improvisation of the polyphase filter structure.
